Celebrating Women’s Rights and Gender Equality

Today is International Women’s Day (IWD). IWD celebrates the movement for women’s rights, and highlights trailblazers who have pushed through barriers and overcome all obstacles for the cause. IWD appreciates the ordinary brave women amongst us, who are making a difference in our various communities.

Pushing for a gender-equal future is a constant work in progress. In a graphic report by Wall Street Journal, women still earn less than men in 439 of 446 major occupations in the U.S.

In business, the capability of women entrepreneurs continue to be undermined as attributes (risk taking, decision making, confidence) and emotions that contribute to entrepreneurial success are still labelled in a stereotypically gender-specific manner (“male attributes” or “female attributes”), resulting in the phenomenon of them being deemed as “acting like men”.

There is still much to do, but we are making progress.

At Jaga-Me, we want to take this opportunity to celebrate the women in our team and affirm our commitment towards true gender equality. We believe that healthcare should be a social good – a basic human need that should be made available to as many people as possible. To make this possible, our core team consists of very talented female colleagues working tirelessly towards our vision of Healthcare without Walls. On the ground, we have more than 450 JagaPros caring for our patients, of which 85% are women. The following testimonials are testament to the tireless work that they do.

All your other nurses are great specially vanai and fazira. They are the best..
