What is Phlebotomy?

Phlebotomy is the process of making a puncture in a vein (also known as “venepuncture”) in order to draw a blood specimen, which is then sent to a lab for the blood test results to be generated.

What are some common blood tests?

There are a number of blood tests that can be ordered by our medical doctors (licensed by the Singapore Medical Council) for our Home Phlebotomy service, these include:

    • Full Blood Count (FBC)
    • Liver Function Test (LFT)
    • Renal Panel with Glucose
    • Thyroid Function Test (TFT)
    • Diabetes Mellitus, Hyperlipidemia Screen
    • Coagulation Profile

These blood tests allow a medical doctor to assess a patient’s condition more comprehensively, in order to help diagnose a condition, or prescribe a plan of care. Such medical advice can be provided through a house call visit or a tele-consultation.

In support of our medical doctors, Jaga-Me’s experienced, certified, and trained nurses will be deployed in the shortest time possible to provide Home Phlebotomy with the utmost care and professionalism.
